Hi, I’m Melanie. I run Abakus, a Toronto-based small business offering bookkeeping, advisory, and consulting services.

Melanie has worked internationally, providing tax, audit, payroll support and facilitating international banking in Canada, US, Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and North Africa. Melanie has a passion for process improvement, has setup processes and policies to coordinate procurement, compliance, travel, expenses, HR, electronic payments, and client invoicing. She has led software implementation initiatives, creation of user manuals, and training to end users. She is well versed in USAID and GAC compliance.

Her impeccable record keeping has greatly facilitated audits and funder reporting requirements. She has a great sense for budgeting, which has helped put together proposals, annual budgets and cash flow projections.
